Did You Know

    • Special Olympics provides year-round sports training and competition to children and adults 8 years of age and older with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
    • Our athletes are also invited to participate in Athlete Leadership and Healthy Athletes programs.
    • We currently offer 11 different sports.
    • We serve 546 athletes throughout Collier County.
    • Over 300 people from our community give their time to volunteer each year.

What’s Happening in Collier

  • Our Summer Season sports – athletics (track & field), bocce, cycling, soccer, and tennis – are in full swing! Click here and then select an individual sport for details regarding practice and competition schedules.
  • Unified Champions Schools (formerly Project UNIFY) basketball season is also in progress at Golden Gate High School, Immokalee High School, Lely High School, Naples High School, and Palmetto Ridge High School.
  • Young Athletes is currently being held on Saturday mornings from 10:00 to 10:45 AM at the Greater Naples YMCA. Contact us for more information.
  • Local Collier County coach Kelly Stevenson-Crews has been honored as the 2016 Special Olympics Florida Coach of the Year, and she was also named one of the 13 finalists for North America Coach of the Year!   • All Collier County Public Schools high schools recently participated in the 3rd Annual Unified Champion Schools (formerly Project UNIFY) Field Day, hosted by Naples High School. Click here to view pictures from the event on our Facebook page.

How to Donate Directly to Collier County

Our program is made possible through the generosity of local individuals, civic clubs, businesses and corporations. Our athletes participate in our program at no cost; therefore, without volunteers and donations, the program would not exist.

We accept donations in the form of cash or checks; or items such as water, food, transportation, office supplies, and equipment or shoes for our athletes.
