Description:  The mission of Special Olympics - Lions Clubs International Opening Eyes is to improve the quality of life for the millions of individuals diagnosed with intellectual disabilities by optimizing their vision, eye health and visual skills through quality eye care. Some objectives are to provide screenings to Special Olympics athletes and educate athletes, parents and coaches about the importance of regular eye care. Special Olympics athletes who participate in an Opening Eyes screening may be fitted for new eyeglasses or sports goggles at no cost to the athlete.

Criteria for Clinical Director:  Vision Care Professional, Licensed Optometrist or Ophthalmologist.

We are in need of Clinical Directors and Screening volunteers during our Fall Classic to assist with Opening Eyes. 

Train- the Trainer
October 30, 9:00 am ? 5:30 pm (Classroom & Set up)
October 31, 8:30 am ? 5:30 pm (Clinical Practicum)

October 30, 1:00 ? 5:30 pm
October 31, 8:30 am ? 5:30 pm
