  • Special Olympics provides year-round sports training and competition to children and adults 8 years of age and older with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Our athletes are also invited to participate in Athlete Leadership and Healthy Athletes programs.
  • We currently offer 16 sports.
  • We serve 574 athletes throughout Leon County.
  • 155 people from our community give their time to volunteer each year.

Spring Registration

Spring Sports Registration is now closed.  Athletics (Track & Field ), Bocce, Cycling, Soccer, & Tennis

Skills Assessment and Onsite registration  will be Sunday Feb.12 from 2:30pm-4:30pm. @ Leon HS fields.  Please come prepared to show your skills.  All athletes must have a current medical and release form to participate in any of these sports. How to Donate to Special Olympics Florida – Leon County

Our program is made possible through the generosity of local individuals, civic clubs, businesses and corporations. Our athletes participate in our program at no cost; therefore, without volunteers and donations, the program would not exist.

We accept donations in the form of cash or checks; or items such as water, food, transportation, office supplies, and equipment or shoes for our athletes.
