Community Sports Training Programs

Special Olympics Florida – Miami-Dade County is proud to offer ongoing sports training programs to those who desire afternoon, evening and/or weekend hours. There is no cost to participate. Participants must register with Special Olympics or must be currently registered.  For more information, to verify registration, or to register, contact Mark Thompson, at 305.406.9467.  Space is limited.

 

Tamiami Park  

  • Tennis  (ages 8 through adult)  Tuesdays, 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm
  • Swimming  (ages 8 through adult)  Saturdays, 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm

Available throughout the year except December and January

 

Goodlet Park

  • Tennis  (ages 8 through adult)  Saturdays, 10:30 am to 11:30 am

 

Indoor 5inco

  • Masters Sports – Soccer  (ages 20 and older)  Tuesdays & Thursdays, 2:30 pm – 3:30 pm
  • Masters Sports – Soccer  (ages 20 and older)  Fridays, 10:00 am – 11:00 am

 

Michael-Ann Russell JCC 

  • Tennis  (ages 8 through adult)  Wednesdays, 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm

 

JD Redd Park

  • Tennis  (ages 8 through adult)  Saturdays, 10:00 am to 11:00 am

 

Roscoe Warren Park

  • Masters Sports (ages 20 and older) Thursdays, 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm
  • Training offered in basketball, softball, flag football, and soccer

 

Jose Marti Park

  • Masters Sports (ages 20 and older) Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm
  • Training offered in basketball, softball, flag football, and soccer

 

Betty T. Ferguson Park

  • Masters Sports (ages 20 and older)  Tuesdays and Thursdays. 10:30 am – 11:30 am
  • Training offered in track and field, basketball, softball, flag football, and soccer
