Did You Know

  • Special Olympics provides year-round sports training and competition to children and adults 8 years of age and older with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Our athletes are also invited to participate in Athlete Leadership and Healthy Athletes programs.
  • We currently offer 17 sports.
  • We serve 1,559 athletes throughout Pasco County.
  • 240 people from our community give their time to volunteer each year.

Upcoming Events and Shout Outs

  • Congrats to all of our athletes who competed at State Fall Classic! 
  • Dylan received the Inspirational Athlete Award and Haley was awarded the Unified Partner of the Year.  Congrats to you both!
  • RSVP for Champions for Change fundraiser on December 10 at Sweetfield Farms.  
  • Join us for our holiday party December 12 (JLMS) & 13 (CRE) 6:00-7:30 p.m.
  • State Bowling Championship is December 8-9 at Boardwalk Bowl in Orlando.
  • Basketball is underway!  Area Games will be held on Saturday, January 13.
  • Our Summer sports begin training in January!  What will you pick? Bocce, cycling, soccer, track, or tennis? 
  • Volunteer for County Summer Games, February 22-23.

Summer Games registration begins in January and we’re already looking for volunteers for competition February 22nd and 23rd.  Contact Val Lundin for volunteer opportunities.  

Want to be a coach?  Upcoming trainings are being offered for basketball and equestrian.

Donate to Special Olympics Florida – Pasco County

Our program is made possible through the generosity of local individuals, civic clubs, businesses and corporations. Our athletes participate in our program at no cost; therefore, without volunteers and donations, the program would not exist.

We accept donations in the form of cash or checks or items such as water, food, transportation, office supplies, and equipment, uniforms or shoes for our athletes.
