Did You Know

  • Special Olympics provides year-round sports training and competition to children and adults 8 years of age and older with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • We currently serve over 1,000 athletes throughout Pasco County.
  • We currently offer 18 different sports
  • Our athletes are also invited to participate in Athlete Leadership Programs and Healthy Athletes initiatives.
  • Over 500 people from our community give their time to volunteer each year.


Congratulations to the Land O’ Lakes High School unified soccer team for being selected to represent Florida on Special Olympics USA at the 2015 Special Olympics World Summer Games. This event will be held in Los Angeles, CA, July 25th-August 2nd.

Our team is working diligently training and raising the funds needed for this trip. If you are interested in making a donation to help with travel expenses, please contact Judy Brunner.


How to Donate Directly to Special Olympics Florida – Pasco County

Our program is made possible through the generosity of individuals, civic clubs, businesses and corporations both local and across the nation. Our athletes participate in our program at no cost; therefore, without volunteers and donations, the program would not exist.

We accept donations in the form of cash or checks; or items such as water, food, transportation, office supplies, and equipment or shoes for our athletes.

Join our management team!  The management team is a volunteer group that supports and strengthens the Special Olympics Florida – Pasco County program. Our next meeting will be held on Monday, November 3rd at 6pm, at the Pasco School’s District Office, Portable 8A.
