Stand Up For Special Olympics Florida – Collier County
We’re excited to announce a unique fundraising event to benefit Special Olympics Florida – Collier County! Steve Nagy, the “Pirate Coach” for our local stand up paddle (SUP) team, plans to celebrate his 50th birthday in style in February, while raising money for local Special Olympics athletes at the same time!
To start off the adventure, Coach Steve is building a paddle board designed specifically for carrying him and all the gear and supplies he’ll need to paddle about 150 miles in approximately two weeks. As Steve builds his board and trains for the event, we’ll post frequent pictures of his progress on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
In February, Steve will make a solo paddle trip on the board he’s building, starting in the southern Collier County town of Goodland and finishing in Key Largo. During the trip, we’ll provide updates chronicling Steve’s adventures. You don’t want to miss it!
How can you help? Sponsor or donate online, or download our sponsorship package. Sponsorship levels range from $5000 to $250. Donations may be a pledge for every mile Steve paddles, or they may be for any set amount you choose. All donations will go directly to Special Olympics Florida – Collier County, to benefit local athletes. Come join in this adventure with us, and help support our local athletes!
