Andrew is a co-founding principal and officer of 123 Lump Sum. He is a “hands on” manager, who is involved in the daily operations of the company. Andrew is also an attorney, licensed to practice law before the Court of Appeals of Maryland and the federal US District Court for the Southern District of Maryland. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Villanova University and holds both a J.D. and M.B.A. post-graduate degrees from American University in Washington, DC.
Andrew has also been Chairman of Development for Special Olympics Miami Dade County since June 2013.

Yvonne began her involvement in Special Olympics as the mother of an athlete. She has since become the mom of a Special Olympian who competed with Team Florida at the USA Games! What an incredible experience it was for Ivonne to attend nationals and see the best of the best compete and be celebrated.
She is an avid supporter of Special Olympics. She most recently took that support to another level and became a Unified Partner! The bond of trust and friendship that is developing between her and her Olympian partner is very gratifying. Michael is a co-founding principal and officer of 123 Lump Sum. As CEO, Michael is directly involved in the operations of the company. Michael graduated from Boston College in 1996, with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Marketing. In 1997, he commenced employment with an investment advisory firm as an accountant and by 1999 had become its CFO responsible for the financial modeling for structured settlement acquisitions.

Alejandro Badia, MD, FACS is a hand and upper extremity surgeon at Badia Hand to Shoulder Center in Doral, Florida. Dr. Badia was educated at Cornell and NYU, trained at Bellevue Hospital/NYU Medical Center, with fellowships in Pittsburgh and in Germany. Badia served as worldwide president of ISSPORTH and co-founded the Miami Anatomical research and training center (M.A.R.C.). Special Olympics Miami-Dade has been wonderful to her son, Geno Carfagna. Geno, a Special Olympics Athlete, has participated in the program for more than nine years. This past summer, Geno and his friends from the DeLucca Center represented the State of Florida in softball at the National Special Olympics Games in New Jersey.
The team traveled for 12 days and toured the east coast while competing and finally finishing with a silver medal. We are all so proud of Geno and his accomplishments.

Alan has been involved with Special Olympics in Miami-Dade County for nearly 20 years, initially as a volunteer basketball and track coach. The basketball team that he coached won a gold medal at the state games and the athletes gave him a Special Olympics Gold medal which he proudly displays to this day. He has previously been named Special Olympics Volunteer of the year.
Alan is Chair and a Board Member of Miami-Dade County Sports Commission as well as General Counsel for Special Olympics Miami-Dade County. During the last 8 years he has been a member of the Special Olympics Miami-Dade County Development Committee. His enthusiasm for Special Olympics and its athletes is always enhanced whenever he attends a Special Olympics athletic event and sees the eager faces of the athletes. In 2013, Chris and residents from his community held a fund-raising event at Oceania in Sunny Isles Beach for the Special Olympics Miami-Dade County Softball team to help them attend the national games in New Jersey. The team went on to win a silver medal and he can’t help but feel that it wouldn’t have been possible without the community’s assistance.

A native of Miami, Carl Kesser began his film career in South Florida in the late 60’s. Kesser Post-Production was established in the late 70’s and just had its 48 year anniversary. A full service Production company specializing in film projects for Tourism, Resorts, Cruise lines, and Real Estate campaigns. He has been working on many Documentaries just, History of the Orange Bowl, completing The history and building of Marlins Ballpark, And the well known Miami, The Magic City which he won 3 Emmy’s. Recently returning fro East Africa following projects that WWF (World Wildlife Fund) are working on.
Carl has achieved over 50 years of hands on experience as a Producer, Director, and Editor.
Carl is a Board member of the AICP, (Association of Independent Producers) FFPC (Film Florida Production Coalition). Advisory Board Miami Dade College SEDT (School of Entertainment and Design Technology).
After graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering from Florida Atlantic University in 1990 Ricardo Miyares began the first segment of his career with Corporate America. In an effort to enrich his capabilities, Mr. Miyares attended the University of Miami in 1999 in the pursuit of a Master’s in Business Administration. Two years later he graduated valedictorian and Summa Cum Laude. Advancing through the ranks during sixteen years of service with two of the largest chemical distributors in the world, he quickly made a name for himself and now felt prepared for the next step; entrepreneurism.
His first endeavor in 2003 and today his largest holding is in Miami Chemical where Miyares serves as CEO & Tribal Leader. A boutique style, import – export chemical distribution company; headquartered in Miami.
Since 2003 Miyares has acquired or started a number of ventures in the Industrial Chemicals, Coatings and adhesives space. These include in 2006 Southeastern Chemical this company manufactures and distributes solvents, diluents, retarders, masking and auto appearance products to the automotive refinishing aftermarket.
In 2008, FAMIS an industrial Coatings, Equipment, Chemicals and Accessories distributor for the Southeastern United States, Caribbean and Central America. .
Created in 2010 Weld-All International, LLC is an adhesives manufacturer and distributor focused on the export markets of the Middle East and South America. In 2011 Maverick Products began the production of Industrial cleaners and detergents. And finally in 2013 PowderDepot.com began the group’s foray into an online only Powder Coating paint marketplace.
As a group in 2014 the companies will generate annual revenue in the $35MM range. Not a small feat being that at the height of the recession in 2008 sales had fallen to only $2.8MM.
Manager, Marlins Ayudan – Miami Marlins
Adrian Mora enters his sixth season with the Marlins and his first as the Manager of Marlins Ayudan. Adrian manages and oversees the Marlins Ayudan program, the Marlins front office service program, which recently surpassed 30,000 hours served since its inception in 2010. Adrian coordinates all organizational Days of Service, and Days of Civic Engagement, as well as individual and team service projects for the club, with a special focus on Marlins Empowerment Fund Charity Partner programming as it relates to Marlins Ayudan.
Adrian graduated from Florida International University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sports Management and Parks and Recreation. He spent his high school and college years volunteering with Special Olympics Miami-Dade County. Following the launch of Marlins Ayudan in 2010, Adrian coordinated the first installment of the Marlins Ayudan Special Olympics softball skills clinic at Gulliver Prep, an event that will be entering its sixth session in the fall of 2015. In 2014, Adrian participated on the Marlins Ayudan Unified Softball Team which advanced to State Competitions. Later in 2014, Adrian joined the Special Olympics Executive Development Committee and now serves as a Co-Chair for SOMDC’s Softball Program.

Previously she was an elementary school teacher and an events coordinator for a hotel company in South Beach. Recently graduated with her Masters in Mental Health Counseling she is currently the co-founder of a program called S.T.A.Y. , teaching children coping skills and providing them with tools. She is also a mental health counselor at a private practice. Her involvement with Special Olympics has included the Annual Sponsor an Athlete 5K, setting up for two Awards Dinner Ceremonies and organizing and hosting young professional happy hours.

Eric Sanders is a Marketing and Public Relations professional keenly interested in other cultures. During
his tenure with USA Networks, Eric conceived a nationally-aired TV concert series with Grammy™
winning artists shot on Miami’s famous Lincoln Road, sponsored by Ford. A key player of the
executive team that launched Hotels.com, he’s spearheaded a variety of notable projects.
As a rare Florida-native, he attended the University of Florida and completed studies at the University of
South Florida in Mass Communications & PR. He interned for an ABC TV affiliate, hosted an evening radio show on a 50 kW station and won the “Radio Commercial Writers Scholarship Competition” producing a commercial for Jiffy Lube that aired nationally for a year. His diplomatic skills began early as a United States Government “People to People” student Ambassador to Asia. Currently he works with clients through IS Public Relations & Marketing. Eric has a deep appreciation for cultural diversity, having lived as well as studied abroad in several countries. A member of the Brazilian American Chamber of Commerce of Florida and highly involved with Brazil – US relations, he is a multilingual speaker of English, Portuguese, French, and Spanish.

He got involved in Special Olympics here in South Florida about two years ago, and is a member of the Finance Committee. Angela L. Watson

Angela Watson is responsible for International Sales for the Americas Region, which includes Latin America, Caribbean and Canada. Sales responsibility includes Sales Operations, Region Sales Planning and Performance, Freight Forwarding Sales, Enterprise Sales, Sales Training, Customer Solutions, Program Management, Implementations and Customer Support.
Watson is responsible for leading and developing the sales staff, developing cross-functional support to create differentiation, through unique customer solutions and addressing customer concerns, for the purpose of driving sales revenue growth and customer retention, by identifying and eliminating barriers to growth.
Watson has 25 years of leadership experience at UPS. Prior to her current assignment, she was Vice President of Global Enterprise Sales, for Healthcare, for six and one-half years. Watson received a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Kansas and a Master’s in Business Administration from Baker University. Angela is a graduate of the UPS Executive Perspectives Emory Executive Education program, from the Goizueta Business School. She is a member of The University of Kansas School of Business Supply Chain Management Board of Advisors, UPS’s Women’s Leadership Development group, on the Board for the Special Olympics of Miami Dade, previously on the LifeBoard for the American Red Cross, as UPS’s corporate sponsor, and previously a member of the Southeast Regional Board of Directors for INROADS.
Senior Director, Marketing & Communications, Homestead-Miami Speedway
Kevin Gregory joined the Homestead-Miami Speedway staff in 2010 as Director of Marketing, and was promoted to Senior Director of Marketing & Communications in 2014. In his role, Gregory is responsible for overseeing all aspects of advertising, promotions, communications, branding, and fan engagement for the Speedway. This includes Ford Championship Weekend, in which the championships for all three of NASCAR’s premier series are decided. He also handles all of the marketing and promotional elements for many of the other events which the Speedway hosts, comprising more than 280 days out of the year.
A native of Dayton, Ohio and Bowling Green State alumnus, Gregory has been involved in promoting auto racing venues and events his entire professional career. Prior to joining Homestead-Miami Speedway, he worked in the marketing & communications department at Michigan International Speedway for six years, after beginning his tenure there as an intern.

Born in Miami, Florida and raised in Pembroke Pines, Florida, Adrian graduated with honors from the Florida State University with a degree in Risk Management and Insurance with a concentration in Leadership Studies. Adrian held many leadership positions at his alma mater including President of the Interfraternity Council, Student Lobbyist and Board of Directors member as Deputy Director of Governmental Affairs, Chief Justice of the Student Conduct Board, and Student Representative for the University Health Compliance Committee and University Admissions Committee.
He is currently a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors and the National Alliance of Insurance Education and Research. Adrian currently serves as the committee chairman for the SOcial League, Special Olympics of Miami-Dade’s professional networking group. Adrian also serves on several other boards and has been heavily involved in numerous charitable organizations. Adrian’s passion for Special Olympics comes from the ability to personally put smiles on the faces of athletes touched by intellectual disabilities day in and day out.
