Here are the various ways to get involved:

Play on the same team as Special Olympics athletes. Special Olympics Unified Sports® combines people with (traditional Special Olympics athletes) and without intellectual disabilities (called Partners) on sports teams for training and competition; dramatically increasing inclusion in the community and using sports to help break down barriers that have historically kept people apart. To learn more about becoming a Unified Partner, please call (305) 406-9467.
Management Team Volunteer
Special Olympics relies on the expertise of community members to support the success of our programs. Management team members serve on committees that work on development, public relations, and more. If you are interested in joining the management team, please contact Linsey Smith.
Student Internships & Office Volunteers
Student internships are available in the areas of public relations, resource development, volunteer management, sports management, community outreach, and more. Click HERE for additional information about the student internship program. Office Volunteers are needed to assist in our office with administrative tasks and projects to support our programs and events.
Become a Mentor
Just as our athletes need sports coaches to help them develop fitness and sports skills, they also need coaches, mentors and facilitators to help develop their leadership skills. What they need most is you! All you need is a little time and the desire to make a difference in the life of an athlete. We teach you the rest! Contact Hope Jacobson for more information.
