Did You Know

  • Special Olympics provides year-round sports training and competition to children and adults 8 years of age and older with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Our athletes are also invited to participate in Athlete Leadership and  Healthy Athletes programs.
  • We currently offer 10 sports.
  • We serve 588 athletes throughout Monroe County.
  • 167 people from our community give their time to volunteer each year.

  • Sponsor an Athlete! Join us at the Amsterdam’s Curry Mansion, 511 Caroline Street, Key West, for a Sponsor an Athlete Evening, on March 27, 2020, 5:00 – 7:00 pm. Can’t attend? Considering making a donation to support this event.

Donate to Special Olympics Florida – Monroe County

Our program is made possible through the generosity of local individuals, civic clubs, businesses and corporations. Our athletes participate in our program at no cost; therefore, without volunteers and donations, the program would not exist.

We accept donations in the form of cash or checks or items such as water, food, transportation, office supplies, and equipment, uniforms or shoes for our athletes.
