Did You Know

  • Special Olympics provides year-round sports training and competition to children and adults 8 years of age and older with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Our athletes are also invited to participate in Athlete Leadership and Healthy Athletes programs.
  • We currently offer 17 sports.
  • We serve 1,559 athletes throughout Pasco County.
  • 240 people from our community give their time to volunteer each year.

  • Watch our very own Anthony Salvati compete in golf at the USA Games from Seattle July 1-6th. 
  • Fall Sports Registration will begin in August. Sign up for gymnastics, softball, powerlifting, flag football, or bowling. County Games information can be found here.

  • Area Games on July 29th at Cove Cay, Clearwater
  • States on September 7-8th at Disney

Swimming

  • County Games – July 21st at New Port Richey Rec Center
  • Area Games – August 11th Dunedin Highlander Park, Dunedin
  • States – October 5-7th Sebastian, FL

Stand up Paddle Board

  • County Games – June 20th Sunwest Park
  • Pinellas Invitational June 23rd Sunset Beach, Tarpon Springs
  • Area Games – July 11th Polk City
  • States – August 25th in Sarasota, FL

Our program is made possible through the generosity of local individuals, civic clubs, businesses and corporations. Our athletes participate in our program at no cost; therefore, without volunteers and donations, the program would not exist.

We accept donations in the form of cash or checks or items such as water, food, transportation, office supplies, and equipment, uniforms or shoes for our athletes.
