Surfing and Stand Up Paddle

Athletes can train and compete in Special Olympics sports from the age of 8 years old and up (some sports require older age limit).

Seminole County training programs for these two sports are located in neighboring counties.  Athletes will train with athletes from other counties in both these sports but would represent Seminole County at the Area and State level competitions.

If you are not a already a registered athlete, please contact us first, before signing up for a sport.


  • Must be able to swim 50 meters unassisted
  • Practices are Saturday Mornings in Cocoa Beach

Stand Up Paddle

  • Must be 13 years of age or older
  • Must be able to swim 50 meters unassisted
  • Must be able to stand from a kneeling position unassisted
