Become A Coach

Why Become a Special Olympics Florida Coach?

Coaches are heroes to our athletes – and athletes often become heroes to our coaches.

Special Olympics Florida coaches help our athletes discover and reach their full potential. They teach lessons of teamwork, self-discipline, and self-confidence – lessons that extend far beyond the playing field.

Coaches make a meaningful impact on the lives of people with intellectual disabilities while fostering inclusion, empowerment, and a sense of belonging. As a coach, you’ll have the opportunity to provide support, give guidance, and encourage athletes.

You’ll play a part in them leading happier, more satisfying lives, and show the world that people with intellectual disabilities can achieve amazing things – if they’re just given a chance. Plus, you’ll also have an outrageous amount of fun!

No sports expertise is needed – we’ll be with you every step of the way. So join our movement, and help create world where Special Olympics athletes are treated with respect and given the opportunities everyone deserves.
