Did You Know

  • Special Olympics provides year-round sports training and competition to children and adults 8 years of age and older with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • We currently serve 81 athletes throughout Monroe County.
  • We serve athletes in the three geographical areas of the Florida Keys (Upper, Lower and Middle)
  • We currently offer 5 different sports in the lower Keys
  • Our athletes are also invited to participate in Athlete Leadership Programs, Young Athletes and  Healthy Athletes initiatives.
  • Currently, 65 people from our community give their time to volunteer each year.

Volunteer Your Time

SUP Season has begun! Every Thursday until Oct. 15– we will be at Lazy Dog Paddle Shack at Hurricane Hole Marina in Key West at 6 pm. Contact Head Coach Liana Baron for more info.

Bowling Season has begun! Every Sunday until Nov. 1 we will be at NAS Key West AirLanes from 2-4 pm.  Contact Head Coach Pat Hart for more info

You Can Make a Difference!

Our program is made possible through the generosity of individuals, civic clubs, businesses and corporations both local and across the nation. Our athletes participate in our program at no cost; therefore, without volunteers and donations, the program would not exist.

We accept donations in the form of cash or checks; or items such as water, food, transportation, office supplies, and shoes/equipment for our athletes.
