Did You Know

  • Special Olympics provides year-round sports training and competition to children and adults 8 years of age and older with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Our athletes are also invited to participate in Athlete Leadership and  Healthy Athletes programs.
  • We currently offer 7 sports.
  • We serve 151 athletes throughout Monroe County.
  • Currently 69 people from our community give their time to volunteer each year.

  • Key Largo School Tornado’s Unified Flag Football Team — contact Jordan Lombard for practice days and time
  • Special Olympics Florida Fall Classic– Nov. 10-13 – FKCC Unified Flag Football Team and Key Largo School Tornado’s Unified Flag Football team are attending.
  • Dec. 7- Christmas Party/Coaches Recognition – The Blue Room, Key West

Donate to Special Olympics Florida – Monroe County

Our program is made possible through the generosity of individuals, civic clubs, businesses and corporations both local and across the nation. Our athletes participate in our program at no cost; therefore, without volunteers and donations, the program would not exist.

We accept donations in the form of cash or checks; or items such as water, food, transportation, office supplies, and shoes/equipment for our athletes.
