Did You Know

  • Special Olympics provides year-round sports training and competition to children and adults 8 years of age and older with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Our athletes are also invited to participate in Athlete Leadership and Healthy Athletes programs.
  • We currently offer 13 sports.
  • We currently serve 1,403 athletes throughout Pinellas County.
  • Over 350 people from our community give their time to coach or volunteer each year.

County Basketball December 16

County Basketball is scheduled for Dec.16 at Ross Norton Recreation Center in Clearwater, FL.  We need approximately 12 volunteers.  If you are interested in working a smaller event, please click the Contact Us box to the right and choose Volunteer.

Donate to Special Olympics Florida – Pinellas County

Our program is made possible through the generosity of local individuals, civic clubs, businesses and corporations. Our athletes participate in our program at no cost; therefore, without volunteers and donations, the program would not exist.

We accept donations in the form of cash or checks or items such as water, food, transportation, office supplies, and equipment, uniforms or shoes for our athletes.
