Once again, the Special Olympics College Club at the University of Florida has been named National Champion of the Special Olympics Virtual College Rivalry Championship, presented by ESPN.
Competing against colleges and universities from across the country, the Gators took home the top prize for the second year in a row. The competition, which focuses on increasing awareness of Special Olympics College Club programs across the country, features students and Special Olympics athletes coming together to connect, play games and promote a message of inclusion.
UF’s top social media post during the competition received over 6,000 likes and was reposted by local businesses, UF clubs, other organizations.
