Leading Flag Football Organization Lends its Support

Special Olympics Florida is thrilled to announce that the Flag Football World Championship Tour has sanctioned our 2021 Sunshine Bowl, providing a high-profile endorsement from a recognized leader in the world of flag football.

The partnership will elevate the event, allowing the Sunshine Bowl to be presented as a FFWCT Sanctioned Event. The organization will promote the Sunshine Bowl on its website, on social media, and in emails to flag football teams and players. It will also help recruit officials and assist in scheduling the tournament.

The Sunshine Bowl is scheduled for October 2 at Raymond James Stadium. Hosted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the event includes a flag football tournament, a Punt, Pass & Kick competition, and a cheer clinic. Proceeds benefit Special Olympics Florida and the 60,000 athletes it serves.

The Flag Football World Championship Tour was founded in 2015 to raise the profile of flag football and bring the top independent tournaments under a single umbrella. We are so grateful to the FFWCT and excited about a partnership sure to make a great event even better.
