2024 State Fall Classic

This month we saw two great days of competition at our State Fall Classic! 

More than 1,000 athletes and Unified partners from across the state came to ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World to compete in six different sports: rhythmic gymnastics, artistic gymnastics, pickleball, powerlifting, softball, and flag football. 

Over November 8 and 9, we witnessed some remarkable performances, as athletes battled to take home a medal. 

“I just want to do my best,” said Alexander Nicholson, a powerlifter from Escambia County who captured the silver medal by deadlifting more than 300 pounds – about twice his body weight. “I’m excited to be here.” 

The Fall Classic also featured a two-day Healthy Athletes clinic, a spectacular opening ceremony, and the always-popular Athletes Dance.
