Supporting Our Mission in Orlando and Pensacola
Delanie Ross/Special Olympics Florida
Special Olympics Florida supporters in two different cities came together recently for a day of unity, purpose, and acceptance.
On
October 26, in Orlando and Pensacola, they gathered to take part in our
annual Race for Inclusion campaign. The Race for Inclusion – Orlando
was held at the Promenade at Sunset Walk and the Race for Inclusion –
Pensacola took place at Bayview Park.
More
than 500 runners and walkers turned out for the 5K run/walks, which
raised more than $188,000. The Race for Inclusion is an annual
initiative and fundraiser to support Special Olympics Florida and foster
communities where people with intellectual disabilities are treated
with respect and given the opportunities they deserve.
From
September through December, communities across the state host Race for
Inclusion events featuring walks, runs, swims, and golf tournaments. To
learn more – or to sign up for one of our remaining Race for Inclusion
events – visit raceforinclusion.org.
